The Institute for Women's Policy Research (IWPR) is redesigning its long-running project on the Status of Women in the States, increasing the frequency of data releases from biennial to annual. The first release in the new series will be available in November 2006. As the data become available, it will be posted on this site. This site is a primary resource for the data presented in the annual state-by-state report card series on women’s progress in the United States.

The data below are from the Status of Women in the States, 2004 Series. The files are in Microsoft Excel format to make it useful to researchers and other users. This site will also be the home for spread sheet versions of data presented in many of IWPR's other reports and fact sheets.
